  • A new five year foreign trade policy since 2014 to 2019 is likely announced very soon said by Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce Minister.

  • Medical screening facilities would be available at Pune and Nagpur to detect Ebola Virus patients which are arriving from different countries ordered by Mumbai High Court.

  • European Council appointed as President to Mr Donald Tusk on succeeding the President Herman Van Rompuy. So Mr Donald resigned from his post as a Prime Minister.

  • PM Modi visited to Singapore to attend the meeting with Goh Chok Tong, Emeritus Senior Minister for funding and expertise to emerge as a global manufacturer.

  • Union government approves Rs. 5,300 crore to boost telecom infrastructure and connectivity.

  • Dr. Raman Singh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh introduced www.cmo.cg.gov.in portal to interact with the people of CG and reduce the gap.

  • Dr. Noel W. Hinners the well known former scientist died on 5th September 2014.

  • On 4th September 2014 Habib wali Mohammad died at 90 years in Los Angeles.His famous ghazal was Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo

  • Other winners of MIDORI Prize 2014 from Dr Kamal Bawa are Dr. Alfred Oteng-Yeboah, Chair, Ghana National Biodiversity Committee, Ghana and Dr. Bibiana Vila, Principal Researcher, National Research Council (CONICET) and Director, Vicunas, Camelids and Environment (VICAM), Argentina.

  • Chief Minister of Uttarakhand officially declared 9th September as Himalaya Diwas.

  • TN Suresh Kumar, ISRO Scientist became first Indian to visit the stratosphere (Stratosphere is the second layer of the Earth’s atmosphere). He did this amazing journey from Sokol Airbase near Nizhny Novgorod in Russia and spend Rs. 15 lakh rupees for his travel.

  • Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Union Civil Aviation Minister announced that Government has identified five locations for development of no-frills airports in India, these are :
  1. Belgaum (Karnataka)
  2. Hubli
  3. Jharsuguda (Odisha),
  4. Kishangarh (Rajasthan),
  5. Tezu (Arunachal Pradesh),

  • Mike and Bob Bryan American brothers won men’s doubles title of the US Open at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, USA after defeating the the pair of Marc Lopez and Marcel Granollers by 6-3, 6-4.

  • Pankaj Advani announced retirement from professional snooker tour.

  • Union Government has decided to shut-down HMT Watches and HMT Chinar Watches Ltd. HMT watches were introduced in 1961.

  • State Bank of India (SBI) has recently planned as roll out an employee stock option scheme (ESOS) for employees for an incentive plan for its employees.

  • ICICI bank announced its unique ‘Cardless Cash Withdrawal’ service on 10 September 2014, which allows its customers to transfer money from their account to anyone in India with a mobile number.

  • International Cricket Council (ICC) suspended Saeed Ajmal Pakistani Spin Bowler for illegal bowling action on 9 September 2014.

  • NTPC board of directors approve investments worth Rs. 10,000 crore for the Tanda Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II and Rammam Hydro Electric Project, Stage-Ill

  • PM Modi recalled Swami Vivekananda`s message of universal brotherhood in World Parliament of Religions in Chicago on 11th September 1893. He said “Let us remember the words of Swami Vivekananda and dedicate ourselves to furthering the cause of unity, brotherhood and world peace.”

  • Strategic Forces Command (SFC) successfully test the short range Agni-1 missile, with a range capability of over 700 Kms from the Wheelers Island, off the Odisha Coast.

  • Tata Technologies announced Warren Harris appointed as a CEO and Managing Director.

  • Rajdeep Sardesai joins the India Today Group as Senior Consulting Editor.

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that Ministry can take a final call on clearing projects up to Rs 1000 crore, this is due to the process of clearing projects across is time consuming which makes the Government projects delay.
