  • Bajrang Punia won 1st gold medal for India in men’s 65kg freestyle category at Asian Wrestling Championship.


  • Arjun Maini, become the first Indian to win a GP3 Series (a feeder series to GP2) race at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.


  • Rafael Nadal won 5th Madrid Open title.


  • Ramudri Someswara Rao won a gold medal in men’s 200m T44 event at the 2017 World Para Athletics Grand Prix in China.


  • Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes won the Spanish Grand Prix.


  •  Kerala and Tamil Nadu have secured first and second rankings for the second year in a row in public affairs index (PAI) in governance in States. Bihar ranked last.


  •  Uttar Pradesh government all set to form Maa’ committees to keep an eye on mid-day meals served to students in state-run primary schools. It will be a committee of six mothers, from all sections of society, whose students are studying in that school.

  • Telangana hosted the first outreach programme of the Ministry of External Affairs ‘Videsh Sampark’, to create awareness about various programmes of the Ministry in states.


  • IIT Kharagpur has join hand with the British Geological Survey to turn Varanasi into a smart city. 


  • Bharti Airtel has won the Aon Best Employer India 2017 Award for its innovative people practices. 


  • Krishna Kumari, a health worker in Ganjam district, has bagged the prestigious Florence Nightingale award 2017.
