IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Selection Process 2017 – Complete Details

Today, we will discuss the selection process of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I 2017. It is very important for aspirants to first understand the procedure of the exam instead of preparing without knowing what it is and what it will lead to. IBPS has released the official Notification for IBPS RRB. Students can apply online for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I & Office Assistant till 14th August 2017.

IBPS RRB Selection Procedure – Officer Scale I

For the posts of Officers Scale I, the exam will be conducted in two tiers in September 2017 i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, preliminary and main. Candidates who will apply for the post of Officers Scale I will have to qualify in prelims exam and will be shortlisted to appear for IBPS RRB Mains exam. The final shortlisted candidates in the IBPS RRB Mains exam will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority.

IBPS RRB Preliminary Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 80 marks with the duration of 45 minutes and it will be conducted online.

IBPS RRB Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks. The Tests will be conducted online. Candidates will have to take one language test i.e English/ Hindi and it will be optional.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Cut Off Score:

For IBPS RRB Officers Scale I – each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main examination to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, an adequate number of candidates in each category not exceeding three times of the declared vacancies in each state shall be called for the interview, subject to availability. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview. IBPS RRB Officer Scale I – Interview Selection Process/Final Selection

  • Candidates who have been shortlisted in the  IBPS RRB main examination for the post of Officers Scale I under CWE- RRB-V will subsequently be called for an Interview by the appropriate authority.
  • The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks/scores in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC / ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
  • The relative weight (ratio) of CWE and interview will be 80:20 respectively for the Officers cadre.
  • The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Main Examination for the post of Officers Scale I under CWE for RRBs-V and Interview.

IBPS RRB Eligibility 2017: Age, Language Requirement & List of Participating Banks

IBPS RRB Language Proficiency

  • Candidates who have already studied the language of the State in standard VIII or any level above standard VIII in Government recognised Boards of Education/ School or having any certificate to the effect for standard VIII or any level above standard VIII would be considered proficient in that local language.
  • Where the candidate does not meet the aforesaid requirement in the local language at the time of selection, he will be given a time of six months from the date of joining to acquire the proficiency. This period can be extended by the Boards of RRBs within the framework of the rules and provided that such extension should not be beyond the probation period
