IBPS Mains Exam

Steve Pavalina has rightly said that, “When you live for a purpose, then HARD WORK isn’t an option. It becomes necessity.” The hard work put to clear one of the toughest and coveted examinations of India CWE, will result in successful candidate’s selection for IBPS. As everyone knows, IBPS has given ample time and efforts to devise the most fruitful strategies for students, therefore conducting CWE exams in two phases.

The Mains Exam is held after a time gap from the preliminary exams. The mains paper will be an extended version of prelims. Though all three sections from prelims will be asked too, load of subjects will increase. In the MAINS, aspirants will be assessed for not only their aptitude but also their general knowledge about the banking industry and computer literacy. Today, everyone uses a computer but questions related to software, hardware, or operating system will be asked in computer literacy section. A person has to know the basics of it.

Coming to the question pattern, the exam will have five sections, namely Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness (related to banking sector) and Computer proficiency.

Candidates have to note that only after qualifying both the prelims and mains exam, one will be able to attempt interview for IBPS recruitment. Therefore, lots of effort is required to clear the exams and attempt interview. Other than Quantitative aptitude, mains will include sections for General Awareness that contains knowledge regarding banking industry and Computer Literacy to test computer knowledge. Computer Knowledge:

Other than Aptitude, Reasoning, and English, there will be computer literacy test which includes common questionnaire based on basics of computer. The operations performed, operating system, networking, basics of database, office tools, and history. A person should know how to work upon a computer and handle system effectively.
